Bullet Journal: July

As I wrote last month, I started bullet journaling. Each month, I am going to share pictures of my spreads. I hope these posts are inspiring and that you enjoy them.

For this month, I based my theme on my recent vacation to California. My first page for JULY is a banana leaf print with my attempt at a neon sign “JULY”. I set my spreads up slightly differently then I usually do because of my trip. I dedicated a few pages to “logging” my trip, but other than that, I only made a few minor changes. I hope you like my spreads and that you are inspired to try bullet journaling.

Thank you for reading this blog post, and I hope you liked seeing my spreads for this month. Make sure to come back next week for another post and next month to see my August Spreads. – Suki <3

Recently, I started Bullet Journaling and I love it! It is a perfect creative outlet, and I am able to increase my productivity. Bullet Journaling is a system created to help people prioritize what needs to get done and increase productivity. People have taken the idea and customized it so much that it is like art. Some people use bullet journals very casually.  For example, as a grocery list or something simple like that. Other people, such as myself, use it as a fun way to do watercolors, art, and just be creative. I really enjoy making different themes each month. I want to start to post more about my journal spread and theme. If you like this idea, make sure to comment down below. I know this post was short, but now that school is out I have a lot of great posts coming. Thank you so much for reading this week’s post and make sure to come back next week for my first bullet journal post!-Suki <3

Barbados: Look Book

If you have read my most recent post, you would know that I was just in Barbados for Spring Break. I had an amazing time and I had lots of fun choosing outfits and taking pictures. I thought it would be fun to do a look book. I also really enjoy reading and watching look books, so I wanted to try to do my own. I left links to everything I talked about in the post at the end.

I mostly wore bathing suits with shorts since I was at the house most of the day. My first bikini is from Target, and it is so cute. I really like the crochet trend, so this top was perfect. I paired it with my American Eagle sunglasses, American Eagle avocado socks, and Abercrombie shorts. I also wore my black and white Lokai bracelets and my Pura Vida bracelets.

The next outfit is a bandeau bathing suit top that I got from Topshop. I wore it with my favorite shorts from Zara and a choker from Urban Outfitters.

Here I mixed the bandeau top with the bottoms from a different bathing suit. Don’t be afraid to mix and match colors and patterns, just have fun with it!

The next “outfit” is a bathing suit from Topshop. I am obsessed with it! It is a super cute print and it is off the shoulder. I just wore it with my Pura Vida bracelets and ring.

The fourth swimsuit is a mono-kini from Hollister. It is so cute and it looks like a bikini in the back. It is tied in the front and I wore it on the catamaran. I also wore some light Pink wayfairs.

My final outfit is a simple everyday summer outfit. I wore a simple American Eagle T-shirt and a jean skirt with buttons up the front from American Eagle.

Thank you so much for reading this post, and I hoped you enjoyed it. I hope it inspired you to get excited for summer and gave you bathing suit/outfit ideas. See you next Friday with another post. – Suki <3

The Best Healthy Breakfasts

I have recently been trying out new snack and breakfast foods. I found three that I really enjoy. They are all super healthy, and take a max of five minutes to make. Just as a disclaimer, if you are vegetarian or vegan, you can switch out any ingredients as needed.

The first is an açai bowl. Açai bowls have been super trendy lately, so I decided to try them out.

Açai Bowl:

  • Frozen Açai or Açai juice (whichever you prefer)
  • Any fruits of your choice
  • A blender
  1.  Start off by adding açai juice and ice to the blender.
  2. Blend together until smooth
  3. Pour into a bowl and set aside
  4. Cut up any fruits you would like to place on the top (I like to add strawberries and coconut flakes)
  5. Place your fruits on top. Depending how you do this, you can end up with a very instagrammable breakfast.

I love this recipe because I feel so good and refreshed after eating it. It also tastes amazing!

Avocado Toast:

  • Avocado
  • Bread of your choice
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper
  1. Start by toasting your toast (this step is pretty self explanatory)
  2. Then, cut the avocado into slices and smush it all over your toast.
  3. Cook your egg ( I like sunny side up, but you can do your egg however you prefer),  The one in the picture is a poached egg.
  4. Now place the egg on top of the toast, sprinkle on a little salt and pepper, and you’re done!

This recipe is honestly so easy . There are many different twists on avocado toast, but sometimes simple is the best.

Peanut Butter Toast:

  • Honey
  • Shredded Coconut
  • Peanut Butter
  • Bread (of your choice)
  • Strawberries
  1. Spread the peanut butter out over your toast
  2. Cut the strawberries into thin slices
  3. Place the strawberries across the top of the toast
  4. Drizzle on honey, and sprinkle on some shredded coconut

The final recipe, my personal favorite, is a delicious peanut butter toast. This is my new favorite snack and breakfast of all time. It is so fast to make, and it is healthy, yet delicious.

I am so sorry I haven’t posted for a few weeks! WordPress wasn’t working and I wasn’t able to write anything. I was finally able to get some tech help, and I’m happy to be back up and running.  I will try to post every weekend from now on. I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to come back next week for another post. – Suki <3

Over spring break, I went to Barbados and had an amazing time! Every year my family and two other family friends go on a spring break vacation together. We rent a villa and find fun activities to do. Each year we go to a different place. This year we went to Barbados, and it has been the best trip yet. The house was amazing, with a private pool and tennis court. I also wanted to put it out there that I am not writing this post to brag. I do not want to sound like I am bragging, I simply want to share my  memories. I love reading travel posts, and I hope you do too! Over the course of the trip, I got to try so many new things. I went on a catamaran for the first time! It was amazing. It was a beautiful 50 ft. catamaran and it was only two months old. We took the catamaran on a four hour excursion.  We stopped to swim with turtles, and to snorkel at a ship wreck. It was absolutely mind blowing, and I will never forget the experience. Since Rihanna grew up in Barbados, she had been to a lot of the “attractions”. It just so happened that the boat we rented was the same boat that Rihanna had been on twice! On another day, we explored the animal flower cave, which is a beautiful cave where the Pacific and Atlantic oceans meet. There were not that many animals or flowers, but the cave was so pretty.

I also surfed for the first time and I loved it. We went to multiple beaches around the island and all of them were beautiful. The people we met were all so friendly. The food was amazing. I got to try breadfruit and flying fish for the first time, and they were delicious. All the seafood was so fresh. We also devoted half a day to checking out the cute shops. While we were out shopping, I got three cornrows braided into my hair, which is something I have wanted to do for so long.  We also spent a ton of time at the house since it had a pool and tennis courts. If you are wondering where to go for your next vacation I would highly recommend Barbados. It was an amazing experience I will never forget it.a00203c7-8328-4a2d-9670-9dbbbb365306-1
